How do I book a place on your courses?

For all the courses apart from the Four Week Course, you can either book online or do please telephone or send us an email letting us know that you would like to join that course.

How do I enrol for the Four Week Cookery Course?

Please fill out the downloadable enrolment form and send it back with a cheque for the deposit. However do come and see us if you would like to before the course or telephone if you have any questions.

How and when do I pay?

For all one day courses the fees must be paid in full at the time of application in order to secure your place. The Four Week Courses requires a deposit of £390 and this should be sent through with your enrolment form. We will invoice you a month before the course starts for the remaining amount and this has to be paid at least two weeks before the start of the course.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes.  Please book your courses through our course booking calender and you can pay either by Credit/Debit Card or by Paypal if you have an account.

What happens if I have to cancel my booking?

We have a cancellations policy in our terms and conditions.  Please download our terms and conditions.

Do you have an age limit?

For short courses, you must be over 16 and for the longer courses you must be over 17.

Do you provide accommodation?

Not at the School itself, but we have an arrangement with a very good B & B in Abernethy (see our links page).   

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes, as it does get hot and flat covered (no open toe) shoes. Make sure your shoes are comfortable as you will be on your feet for long periods of time! We will provide you with an apron.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes.  You can either book and pay for them online or do call us and we can talk you through the process.

Do you teach food hygiene on your courses?

On the Four Week Course all students sit the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) Elementary Food Hygiene examination in order to gain the REHIS certificate.  However this is subject to numbers.  We have to have enough students in order to be able to cover the costs.  Min of 3 students needed.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, we will provide you with all the equipment you will need on the course. You will be able to buy knives and other essential equipment at the end of the course.

Can you help me with employment afterwards?

Yes, we have good relationships with the main catering agencies that look after vacancies in the UK and abroad and if you are looking to do a ski season we can put you in touch with a number of companies.
