I have done other cookery courses but I really liked the intimate feeling of this course and Sarah made you feel very relaxed straight away. I liked the fact that you got to do everything yourself, I have been on other courses where you are split into groups and I found that not so constructive. Doing is learning! I took away new skills and felt more confident to give things a try. Lunch was lovely and our new found love of Duck could be being tried on our friends too! More over it was just a very pleasant way to spend a day.

My husband and I went to Let’s Cook ‘A Taste of Thailand’ one day course in March 2015, following a recommendation from friends. It was a truly marvellous experience. Sarah was so welcoming and hospitable and we felt instantly at ease and fully engaged in the day ahead. The other attendees were lovely to share the day with and I felt I learnt lots of new skills and also gained a better understanding of the essential ingredients for Thai cooking. Sarah is an excellent teacher who brings out the best in all students. The small classes allow everyone to have individual guidance after the clear demonstrations of techniques. The Souffle and meringues course was filled with really useful recipes and techniques for anyone interested in cooking. My impression is that Sarah is able to recognise the skill level in students very quickly and tailor the lessons to all levels within the day. All of the food cooked on the day can be taken home without spoiling during the journey and its really helpful to receive the e-mail advising on containers needed in the days just before the course. I would recommend this school without hesitation.

We had a fantastic day with you yesterday on the intro to bread making course. It was really well planned out day- I liked the mix of demos and practical work. Just home after a wonderful day with Nicoletta and the sharing of her family favourites. The food was delicious and I surprised myself with the variety of dishes I was able to make with Nicoletta's guidance and support. This was one of the very best cookery courses I have attended as I said yesterday. I like the informality and yet the huge amount we were able to learn in such a short time. My mum and I have now taken 2 of Sarah's courses at 'lets cook Scotland '. We took part in the perfect pastry course last year and the summer crowd pleasers one this year. Sarah has such a passion for food and ingredients and cooking that it is infectious! I do a lot of cooking and baking and I have learned so many tips that I am now using on a weekly basis at home. I have used several of the pastry recipes since last year and it was only 3 weeks ago I learned how to make creme patissiere and I am making it again tonight! I thought the whole experience was very well organised and planned out, from booking, contact prior to the day, the excellent directions through to the efficient running of the day itself and the recipe pack provided.. How else could you teach and complete the baking of 5 separate items in six hors! The day itself was great fun and although we covered quite a lot, it never felt rushed or that we were under pressure. There is a lovely atmosphere in the small group and although you are spending the day with complete strangers, it feels like a fun day out with friends. The recipes are well chosen and will be repeated this weekend!

"The two week course was excellent. I learned many techniques to improve my cooking and produce better quality results. Now I also have a wider range of menus that I am comfortable to produce. With only three or four students on this course, Sarah was able to give us plenty of attention, and make sure we were doing things right, as well as understanding why certain methods are important. The location and layout provide a good atmosphere, both relaxed and conducive to learning. I really enjoyed the company of my fellow students. Each night I could take something that I had cooked during the day, back home to my husband, who was pretty impressed, and eager to know what we were going to cook the next day! I don't cook with pork, and that seemed no problem as Sarah was easily able to give me an alternative to cook. Our second visit to Lets Cook on a cold ,wet saturday .This time we did Tapas. As much fun and involved as the Thai course we did previously and equally as flavoursome. My husband and I went to the day together and agreed its great fun from the moment you arrive. Sarah is full of warmth and clearly loves what she does ,even the most challenged cook will come out of one of her courses full of confidence and pride in what they have achieved.We made bread,Gazpacho, chorizo in red wine,confit of duck ,amongst other delicious dishes.The coffee and home made cake on arrival sets up the day and the wine with lunch adds to the fun of the day. We will be back!!

I had a fantastic day at Nicoletta's Cicchetti course last Sunday. Just loved all the recipes - there were some inspirational ideas for using fresh veggies that will definitely stay with me! Nicoletta's teaching style was great - she was lots of fun and she put me at ease throughout the day with lots of good advice and tips that I can use every day at home. The recipes themselves were delicious - I had enough to take home with me to feed 4 adults that evening and even had a few leftovers the next day too! Lots of quick and easy ideas that would easily translate into picnics or lunchboxes as well as for starters or party food - so versatile. Would love to attend another course of Nicoletta's.
